“Hello Goodbye” by The Beatles (1967)

“Hello Goodbye” isn’t one of the Beatles’ more ambitious efforts. It’s a McCartney song about opposites. I mean, if Sesame Street existed back in 1967, it’s not a stretch to think that the Children’s Television Workshop writers could’ve cooked up a similar song. However, its got that tunefulness that’s inherent in just about every Beatles song and can be irresistible or painfully cloying dependent on the time period and the Beatle. There’s not a lot of substance, but it’s fun. And it’s got that awesome marching band-esque singalong coda at the end.
