Sumner and the rest of the band then patched together a mix of the futuristic sci-fi background Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte put together for Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love”, add a little Nile Rodgers chicken scratch guitar, and there you have it: “Blue Monday”.
