I’ve been over-thinking this one for the past day or so. The first question I had to myself was “is ‘Best Of You’ a 4-star song or a 5-star song?” As I write this, it’s a 5-star song. I gave it a listen just a few minutes ago, and I’m going to go with what my gut is telling me right now.

Second question was “what do I say about ‘Best Of You’” and/or The Foo Fighters? Well; “Best Of You” is a pretty awesome rock song, and the Foo Fighters are a dependable rock band fronted by a very charismatic musician that occasionally releases a genius song. And there will be other opportunities (at least two that I can think of off the top of my head) to discuss the Foos in more detail.

Question #3: “how much does Prince’s legendary Super Bowl performance factor into my appreciation of ‘Best Of You’?” Truthfully, I liked “Best Of You” plenty before Prince made it a surprise (and surprising) addition to his halftime repertoire. But a good rule of thumb should be: if it’s good enough for Prince, it’s good enough for me…
